Plans are well underway for our third Women's VBS. Our teams are up and working toward this special time on August 10-12. God is giving us great vision and purpose to challenge the women (ages teen and up) of our community and beyond to walk in the Truth of His Word. All kinds of creative things, including great Bible teaching and nightly walking in Truth challenges, will be a part of these three nights of VBS. And... don't forget the special young women's extra service on Tuesday night August 11 and the special seniors luncheon on Wednesday August 12. We don't want you to miss any of it.

Join the VBS Choir!
That's right, this year we are having our own VBS choir! Love to sing? Love to worship? Then you need to join in... All choir members will receive music in advance to help you prepare and group practice times will be minimal. What a sweet aroma it will be to the Lord as women of all ages, from many churches join in praise and lifting up the God of Truth. You will be blessed as you offer your gift of worship.  Planting Seeds
For the past two years we have offered VBS as a free, no registration event. We feel strongly that God is leading us to continue to provide the Women's VBS at no cost to the attendees, so finances and pre-registration won't be a barrier to attending. However, in order to produce this free event, we need able individuals and companies to partner with us as "seed planters". Just as you plant seeds in the spring and expect to see fruit come summer, we are hopeful you will be willing to help plant seeds of Truth for the women that God is drawing to Women's VBS this summer. We are estimating our costs at $15 per attendee, and we hope to reach 500 women this summer. Will you consider planting with us now? Your tax-deductible contribution of $15 would plant a seed for one woman to be encouraged to walk in Truth. And... your gift of $150 would plant seeds for 10 women. We welcome seed gifts of any size! Established Footsteps welcomes Kelly Shepherd on staff! Kelly began working with EF in April, two days a week. She brings a wealth of ability and heart to the vision of this ministry. God has been so faithful to work out all the details as she stepped out in faith for this position and we continue to trust Him as we move forward. We are so grateful to have her on board! |

Romania Team News
Our Romania team continues to prepare for our upcoming trip. I stand in awe at all God is doing and preparing to do through this team. Financial support continues to come in as God is providing in creative ways. One in particular is the "Cup Hugger" Project. God is so creative and He is using several on our team in this endeavor... more on that later on our website. Starving Artist Studio in Port Warwick, Newport News, VA, is hosting a fundraiser for the Romania Mission Trip on Sunday, May 31st from 12-5. This donation will be used for the supplies that we need to accomplish the work we will be doing in Romania. 25% of the proceeds from "paint your own pottery" sales will be donated, please mention the mission trip when you check out.

God's Presence 
This year as I studied about Moses I was struck by his response to the Lord at one point of his journey through the wilderness. He basically said, "Lord, if your presence doesn't go with us, then I am not going." (Exodus 33:15) Over this last season, as the Lord has sent me to speak in varied places, that has become my prayer as well. From January to mid May I spent a great deal of time traveling and speaking at retreats and events, encouraging women with Truth from the Word and cheering them on to love the Word. At the end of this busy ministry season, I can definitely say, the Lord's presence was with me! I saw God work and create Divine appointments, over and over again. I saw Him use a specific word to encourage, I saw Him rally His women to trust Him in new ways and I saw Him refresh weary believers who had not been coming to the table to eat what He had for them. I also saw Him sustain me for speaking when I was tired and even when I was sick. I have learned that His presence is powerful and what He calls for, He provides for. We are in a different season now as we prepare for VBS and also for the fall months of speaking and teaching, but I seek His presence daily. I don't want to live without it, I know you don't either. Seek Him today... His presence is all you need!
